Reminders for Re-opening

Dear CMPS Families,
We are all hoping to see our students back on Wednesday. Let’s hope that our weather cooperates with us tomorrow. Please take the time to review the information below:
York Region Public Health Screening:
All students are required to complete a York Region Public Health school and child-care screening tool daily. Please note for elementary students, you do not need to send in your screening.
Feeling ill?:
• If a student has ONE symptom of COVID-19 they are required to stay home from school and child-care and get tested for COVID-19 at an Assessment Centre
Health and Safety Measures:
• Masks are now required for students in Grades 1-8. Students in kindergarten are strongly encouraged to wear masks.
• Masks are now required outdoors, during recess
• York Region Public Health is recommending that students wear three-layer masks. Two layer masks are permitted if they are clean and fit appropriately. Please note, vented masks are not permitted.
Entry: We ask that all students use their regular entry doors when coming to school.
Technology Return: All families who have borrowed technology, it must be returned on Wednesday, Feb. 17th. Students are to bring their borrowed technology to their class. The office will call students from their classes to collect technology.
Model Change: As a reminder, for any families that have requested model changes, this change will take effect on March 3rd. Until then, students are expected to maintain in their current model.
