Apologies for the delay! With our visit to SLSS last week and a variety of other factors, I haven’t posted the work daily. 🙁 

Science

  • Using the information from pp280-284, the information from the first science lesson,  and your own ideas to BOTH:
    • Justify the claim* that the Earth’s water is limitless
    • Justify the claim* that the Earth’s water is NOT limitless

*For EACH claim, provide TWO different supporting reasons; 6-8 sentences expected

 

  • Use the information from p312-314 and from your own ideas to complete the table on water table factors provided in class (see lesson 2)

 

  • Use the information from pp340-343 to explain
    • 2 reasons why water is wasted
    • 2 ways individuals can help to conserve water based on personal choices
    • 2 ways governments (“municipalities”) and government rules force people to conserve water

Math

  • Circles and Cylinders review handout
  • Rates, Ratios, and Percentages review handout

English

  • Based on what you remember from paragraph writing from last year, write a focused paragraph that responds to the question, “What is the greatest barrier to student achievement?
